The short version: unless you choose to contact us, we do not ask for your personal information, set advertising or analytics cookies, or run tracking scripts. Like any website, the services that deliver it to you process some technical data, explained below.

1. What we collect

Kindred Bits itself does not collect or store personal data. There are no accounts, comments, analytics tools or advertising trackers.

2. Features that run only in your browser

  • Companion finder, search, filters and shortlist: these run entirely in your browser. Your choices are not sent to us or anyone else, and the shortlist disappears when you leave or reload the page.
  • Newsletter form: this is currently a demo that is not connected to any email service. An address typed into it is not sent or stored anywhere.

3. Data processed by service providers

  • Hosting. The site is hosted by HostAfrica. To deliver pages and keep the server secure, the web server may automatically record technical request data in server and security logs, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time. We do not use these logs to identify or profile visitors. See the HostAfrica privacy policy.
  • Fonts. Our typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. Your browser therefore contacts Google’s servers, which receive your IP address and browser information. Google explains how it handles this in its Google Fonts privacy FAQ and privacy policy.

4. Cookies

We do not set cookies, and the site works without them.

5. Links to other websites

We link to official app websites, help centres and policies. Once you leave this site, the other website’s privacy policy applies. We recommend reading it before you sign up, and our privacy checklist shows what to look for.

6. Future changes

If we add analytics, a working newsletter or affiliate links, we will update this policy before those features go live. We will explain what is collected and why, and ask for consent where the law requires it. The “last updated” date below will change.

7. If you contact us

If you email us or send a WhatsApp message, we receive your email address or phone number and whatever you send. We use it only to reply to you and to fix any error you report, and we do not add you to any mailing list. WhatsApp messages are also handled by WhatsApp under its own privacy policy.

8. Questions
